Il torrente Cerusa, nell’omonima valle, ha origine anche da alcuni rii del Bric del Dente e sfocia a Voltri dopo aver percorso circa 9 km tra i versanti dei monti Reixa e Tardia. La particolare conformazione delle pareti rocciose strette e ripide delle valle e la climatologia del luogo hanno garantito un flusso costante di acqua nel torrente con una buona forza idraulica, per cui sin dai tempi remoti sono state attive molte cartiere. La più antica – quella di San Gorgio – risale al 1580 ed è ancora funzionante. La carta, prodotta con il nome “Genova” era famosa e ricercata a livello internazionale.

Cerusa river, in the Cerusa valley, originates also from some the rivers and flows fro Bric del Dente at goes the Voltri sea after about 9 km from among the slopes of Reixa and Tardia mountains. The special shape of the narrow and steep cliffs of the valley and the climatology of the area have ensured a steady flow of water into the river with a good hydraulic power, and since very ancient times many paper mills have been active. The oldest – that of Saint George – dates back to 1580 and is still working. The paper, produced under the name “Genoa” was famous and sought after internationally.
