FRECCE TRICOLORI nell’Albenganese – Pattuglia Aerea Acrobatica Nazionale (Frecce tricolori) sui cieli della costa ligure di Ponente

Non capita tutti i giorni di trovarsi nei pressi di Albenga ed avere nell’aeroporto di Villanova la Pattuglia Aerea Acrobatica Italiana delle Frecce Tricolori.
Una visita agli aerei, alcune spiegazioni tecniche con alcuni dei piloti di aviazione più bravi del mondo e poi via per assistere ad uno spettacolo di alta acrobazia aerea ripreso anche dalle vette dei monti circostanti al quale non potevo mancare.

It does not happen every day that you are near Albenga and have in the airport of Villanova the National Aerial Acrobatic Italian Squad so called “Frecce Tricolori”.
A visit to the aircrafts, some technical explanations with some of the most talented aviation pilots in the world and then off to see a show of very fine aerial acrobatic also taken up from the high peaks of the sorruonding mountains. An event which I could not miss.

BALESTRINO Paese abbandonato (Ghost town and Inkheart movie set)

Balestrino è un borgo dell’entroterra savonese famoso perchè a sua parte antica fu abbandonata dagli abitanti, nel 1953, a seguito dell’imminente pericolo dei un grave evento franoso. La parte vecchia è diventata così una delle “ghost town” più interessanti d’Europa, anche perchè è sovrastata dall’imponente mole del suo castello (privato) dei Marchesi di Balestrino e, per un certo periodo, anche quartier generale di colui che sarebbe poi diventato Napoleone.
In genere, nei paesi liguri, sono i castelli che sono abbandonati ed il resto del villaggio si è rinnovato invece a Baletrino accade il contrario…
Io l’ho visitato gia’ molti anni fa quando ancora si poteva entrare e girare per le sue stradine antiche… abitante un tempo da circa 400 abitanti…

Balestrino is a village in the hinterland of Savona famous because the old part of the town was abandoned by its inhabitants in 1953, following the imminent danger of a serious landslide. The old part has become so one of the “ghost town” most interesting in Europe, also because it is dominated by the imposing its castle (private) of the Marquis of Balestrino and, for a time, also the headquarters of the man who would later became Napoleon.
In general, in the Ligurian villages, are the castles that have been abandoned and the rest of the village has been renewed instead Baletrino the opposite happens …
I started to visit Balestrino many years ago when it was still possible to enter and going around the ancient streets … and there was a time were about 400 people where living and working here…
