Passeggiate a Levante MULINO DI TREBBIE BURCHE in VAL TREBBIA
Un mulino in stato di abbandono (ora ex) con una bella storia di rinascita.
Nelle mie #passeggiatealevante incontro spesso #luoghiabbandonati che raccontano, con un po’ di tristezza, del passare del tempo, delle persone che vi abitavano e ormai andate via per sempre, dell’oblio di una frazione, di un paese, di un borgo di un mulino…
Non sempre però è così. Passeggiando per la #Valtrebbia, non lontano di una delle tappe dell’#AltaViaDeiMontiLiguri, sono passato nei pressi di un mulino che ricordavo in stato di abbandono per averlo fotografato diversi anni fa.
E’ il caso del mulino di Trebbie Burche che è stato acquistato da una famiglia che l’ha restaurato con propositi interessanti di sviluppo quali agriturismo e produzione di prodotti locali.
L’origine di questo mulino risale a diversi secoli fa. Siamo non molto distanti da una delle battaglie più famose della storia: quella di un Annibale giovane ma già esperto stratega che varcò con gli elefanti le Alpi e sconfisse le legioni romane nella famosa “Battaglia del Trebbia” nel 213 a.C.
Il mulino e’ collegato a Barbagelata, il comune più alto dell’Alta Via ed è tra l’altro citato in una bella poesia di Rita Biggio Casassa una delle più importanti poetesse della Val Trebbia: “La ruota arruginita/ora è ferma, immobile./Offre asilo al tordo, al merlo, al passerotto…”

In my hiking around Eastern Liguria I often arrive near #abandonedplaces which have always a story with some kind of sadness, of time passing by, about people who lived there and now gone away forever, a village, a hamlet, a mill …
But not always this is the case. Walking across the #Valtrebbia, not far from one of the treks of ‘#LiguriaMountainsHighWay, I passed near a mill that I remembered in a state of neglect for having photographed it several years ago.
This is the case of Trebbie Burche mill that was purchased by a family who restored it with interesting proposals for development as a farm and for the production of local products.
The origin of this mill goes back several centuries ago. We are not far from one of the most famous battles in history: the one where a young but already experienced strategist man called Hannibal crossed the Alps with elephants and defeated the Roman legions in the famous “Battle of the Trebbia” in 213 BC.
