Un pomeriggio d’autunno. una visita ad una parente… Quel giorno Gigliola raccontandomi un fatto del suo passato mi disse che aveva delle foto di suo padre e… L’attore oggetto della storia di questo libro, è Gian Paolo Rosmino. La mamma è Ernestina Rosmino in arte Suzanne Fabre una delle dive degli anni ‘20/’30… ed anche sua compagna nella vita.
Un grande attore che aveva fatto quasi 100 film!
Chi era questo attore nato a Torino che aveva deciso di venire a finire i suoi giorni in riva al mare?
Un attore e di un grande periodo della storia del nostro Novecento tornava in vita grazie anche all’archivio fotografico della iglia.
Gian Paolo Rosmino (Torino 1888 - Rapallo 1982), fu uno degli attori più interessanti della sua epoca. Ha recitato e/o diretto alcune delle attrici e dive più importanti dei suoi anni: Lyda Borelli Susanne Fabre, Italia Almirante Manzini, Olimpia Barroero, Lydia Quaranta, Elena Makowska, e in tempi più recenti Gina Lollobrigida, Rossana Podesta’, Sylva Koscina…

A visit to a relative … That day Gigliola told me a fact of his past and that he had photos of his father… he was an actor… now covered by the story of this book…the name was Gian Paolo Rosmino. The mother is Ernestina Rosmino aka Suzanne Fabre one of the divas of the 20s / 30s … and also her life partner.
A great actor who had made almost 100 films!

PASSEGGIATE a LEVANTE Il libro di Enrico Pelos

Passeggiate a Levante. Il libro.

Grazie all’editore Blu di Torino le molte passeggiate/escursioni/gite percorse e fotografate nella Liguria di Levante sono adesso in un bel libro.

Si tratta di una scelta di 45 itinerari, tra i molti che ho percorso, nelle province di Genova e La Spezia, e che vanno dalle semplici passeggiate per tutti ad escursioni un po’ più impegnative ma per tutte le stagioni.

Molti sono percorsi famosi ma sempre belli da (ri)scoprire: Golfo Paradiso, Portofino, Antola, Beigua, Val d’Aveto, Val Gargassa, Baia delle Favole, Cinque Terre, Golfo dei Poeti etc. nomi evocativi che meritano di essere conosciuti ed esplorati ma senza fretta, tra  il verde dei boschi e l’azzurro del mare e dei laghi. Altri itinerari, per qualcuno, potrebbero essere di nuova conoscenza. Si va dalle passeggiate/escursioni classiche come sull’Alta Via dei Monti Liguri o al monte Antola o alle 5 Terre o ai Forti di Genova ad altre forse meno conosciute come alla Cava di diaspro della Valle Lagorara o alla scoperta delle terre degli antichi Liguri in Val di Vara o al Bosco delle Fate caro al grande poeta Caproni, fino a Punta Corvo e Punta Bianca nella parte finale della Liguria o ad un itinerario molto particolare, per chi interessato, alla conoscenza del Cimitero Monumentale di Staglieno.

Il libro è corredato da molte fotografie, cartine e note tecniche ed è pensato per chi vuole andare alla scoperta di un paesaggio di particolare bellezza tra mare e monti, percorrendo itinerari tra rinomate spiagge o su promontori che offrono squarci su scogliere o che si inoltrano nell’entroterra, in zone rurali e montane attraversate da vie del sale e antiche mulattiere. Ci sono box di approfondimento che si soffermano su aspetti storici, naturalistici e artistici senza dimenticare il folklore e le tradizioni gastronomiche.

45 itineraries among the many I have done in Eastern Liguria which varies from easily walking paths to more demanding hiking and trekkings. The book is fully illustrated with photos and enriched with reference maps and it is thought either for the tourist and the excursion traveller and trekker who wants to discover a landscape of beauty. The book accompanies the reader/walker not only to renowed beaches landscapes like 5 Terre but also to inland mount paths like in Antola, Aveto, Trebbia valleys, etc. or particular sites like Jasper Lagorara Valley, the Genoa ancient fortresses or the Staglieno Monumental Cemetery. Detailed boxes illustrate in particular natural, artistic, folk and traditional food aspects.

Fabbriche di Careggine è un paese abbandonato. Più precisamente è proprio un paese fantasma. Eh si, perchè compare ogni dieci anni circa. Ogni qualvolta l’Enel decide di svuotare il lago di Vagli, a Vagli di Sotto, in Garfagnana in provincia di Lucca, nella splendida Toscana. Per la precisone è però dal 1994 che non si fa più vedere e quindi, questa volta sono tra poco circa venti anni…

Secondo le mie ultime informazioni ne passeranno ancora molti e forse, sembra, non ricomparirà più’. Una storia simile l’abbiamo anche in Liguria. La costruzione di un lago dell’Amga, il Brugneto nel Parco dell’Antola, ha fatto scomparire due piccole frazioni quelle di Frinti e di Mulini di Brugneto che non sono più riapparse con una sola eccezione e parzialmente in un anno di particolare siccità. Queste fotografie, tra le diverse fatte con il mio amico Rodolfo, sono rimaste nei raccoglitori e nei cassetti per tanto tempo e sono riemerse anche loro dall’oblio, come l’antico paese, fondato da fabbri bresciani nel lontano XIII secolo. Allorquando il paese riappari’… tornarono alla luce antichi muri e ambienti, la chiesa, il campanile, il ponte sulla Via Vandelli etc… Figure… presenze… forse fantasmi… dicono che si aggirino ancora tra quelle mura, e che aleggino sulle acque notturne da quando è stato riempito il lago… … e la sua fama divenne tale che vennero a vedere Fabbriche persino in aereo delle troupes televisive dal Giappone…

Fabbriche di Careggine is an abandoned town. More precisely, it is a ghost town. Oh yes, because it appears every ten years. These photographs, among the many taken with my friend Rodolfo, have been in the drawers for a long time and they also re-emerged from oblivion, as the ancient town, founded by blacksmiths from Brescia back in the thirteenth century, When the village came to light again … returned to life the ancient walls and environments, the church, the bell tower, the bridge on the Via Vandelli, etc…. Figures .. maybe ghosts … they say still wander within those walls, and hover over the waters at night since the lake was filled… … and his fame became so great that they came to see Fabbriche even by air TV crews from Japan …

Some of my photographs accompany the beautiful song by Björn Afzelius (he was called the “Dylan” or the “Swedish De André”) “Night in Liguria” written and dedicated to Castelvecchio di Rocca Barbena (Savona, Liguria, Italy) one of the most beautiful villages in Italy… along the Liguria Mountains High Way Trek…

Passeggiate a Levante… ALTA VIA DEI MONTI LIGURI di Enrico Pelos (2000)

-DESCRIZIONE- Tanto tempo è passato, e dai “cassetti della memoria” riaffiorano lavori che credo possano essere ancora visti senza problemi da chi è interessato al paesaggio dei nostri monti di Liguria. Una proiezione in Power Point risalente ormai al “lontano” 2000 e convertita in video. E’ in bassa risoluzione. Certo, oggi siamo abituati all’HD e ai 4K ma a quel tempo i pc (ibm 486, pentium III… hard disk da 420 MB, 1 Gb..) non permettevano di far girare filmati complessi, per cui le foto erano “elaborate” in modo da non far venire il file troppo grande e di conseguenza molte immagini, effetti e dissolvenze, sono al passo con quanto si poteva fare con i pochi programmi di allora, e fanno ambientare il tutto nell'”atmosfera” di quel tempo. Lungo l’Altavia, o nei suoi pressi, si possono fare tanti incontri interessanti ed anche se alcuni luoghi sono ormai cambiati, come qualche paese che era abbandonato ed oggi è modernamente restaurato (ad es. Colletta di Castelbianco), o l’Abbazia di Tiglieto, altri sono rimasti simili ad allora come il borgo abbandonato di Balestrino, il borgo di Canate, o alcuni forti, e qualcuno saprà riconoscerli lo stesso. E poi lungo l’AV ci sono monti come il Saccarello, il Ramaceto il Toraggio, il Galero, il Beigua, l’Aiona, il Zatta, il Bue, il Maggiorasca, e molti altri, castelli come a Castelvecchio di Rocca Barbena, a Suvero o Calice al Cornovigilio, santuari di Montebruno, della Madonna del Lago, etc…, castelli, i laghi del Gorzente, di Osiglia, di Val Noci di Giacopiane, persone e lavori di antichi artigianati e tanto, molto altro. L’accompagnamento musicale contiene anche spazi di silenzio voluti e tra le altre musiche avevo inserito anche una parte di un brano, per gentile concessione, del gruppo genovese de La Rionda. Il cd/multimediale era stato preparato a seguito dell’uscita della guida ufficiale dell’Alta Via dei Monti Liguri del 1999 a cura dell’Unioncamere di Genova. Buona visione, buona lettura e buon ascolto. -DESCRIPTION- A long time has passed, and from the “drawers of memory” some works come out that I believe can still be seen by those interested in the landscape of our mountains of Liguria. Along the AV, or in its vicinity, many interesting encounters can be made and even if some places have now changed, like some country villages that were abandoned and today have been modernly restored (eg Colletta di Castelbianco) or the Tiglieto Abbey, others are still the same as the ancient part of Balestrino, or the Canate village, but someone will recognize them anyway. And then along the AV there are mountains like the Saccarello, the Ramaceto the Toraggio, the Galero, the Beigua and many others, castles like in Castelvecchio di Rocca Barbena, in Suvero or in Calice Del Cornovigilio, sanctuaries, castles, the lakes of Gorzente, of Osiglia, of Val Noci, of Giacopiane, people and works of ancient craftsmanship and much, much more. The backing music also contains small silence parts and among the other music I had also included a part of a piece for kind courtesy of the La Rionda Genoese group. The multimedia/Ccd had been prepared following the release of the official guide of the Alta Via dei Monti Liguri in 1999 by the Unioncamere of Genoa. Have a nice vision, a good reading and a good listening.

Astrid Kirchherr la fotografa dei Beatles se n’è andata. Riceviamo dall’ amico (ed attivissimo presidente dei Beatlesiani d’Italia Ass.) Rolando Giambelli la triste notizia che Astrid Kirchherr la fotografa dei Beatles è mancata all’età di 81 anni. Era nata ad Amburgo nel 1938 e fu nel 1960 che casualmente, girando per i locali notturni di Amburgo con Klaus Voormann, le capitò di ascoltare un gruppo musicale allora sconosciuto. E li fotografò. Il resto è storia. Sua fu l’idea del taglio dei capelli nel 1964 e sue alcune delle più belle fotografie dei Fab Four che hanno contribuito, insieme ad altri, a trasformarle in icone per tutti gli appassionati della loro musica nel mondo. Ciao Astrid.

We receive from our friend (and very active president of the Beatlesians of Italy) Rolando Giambelli the sad news that Astrid Kirchherr the photographer of the Beatles passed away at the age of 81. She was born in Hamburg in 1938 and it was in 1960 that casually, going around the Hamburg night clubs with Klaus Voormann, she happened to listen to a musical group then unknown. And he photographed them. The rest is history. She was the one with the idea of the famous hair cutting in 1964. She took afterward many beautiful photographs of the Fab Four who have contributed, together with others, to transform them into icons for all the fans of their music in the world. Ciao Astrid.

KRAFTWERK Florian Schneider, uno dei fondatori, se n’è andato.
Ricordo come fosse ieri la prima volta che li vedemmo alla Roundhouse di Londra.
Una musica indefinita (a quel tempo) la loro ma che affascinava e ti ipnotizzava. Mitici il loro Autobahn (1974) e Trans Europe Express (1976) con il quale si viaggiava sia in realtà che con la fantasia. Sia in autostop che in treno, quando ancora si poteva viaggiare e trovare amici con poche lire in tasca e le frontiere erano aperte più di oggi.
Schneider era uno dei due cantanti ed un polistrumentista: suonava il sintetizzatore, il vocoder, il flauto, il sax ed altri strumenti.
Dal vivo, il loro concerto era già allora uno show multimediale con computer e tecnologie digitali con suoni ed effetti visivi sempre raffinati e belli. Lo show, seppur con una sorta di futurismo retrò con abiti antracite, camicie rosse e cravatte nere e capelli che parevano brillantinati ti trasportava in una sorta di mix futur-vintage
Avevano già programmato di tornare in Italia per celebrare il 50° anniversario della loro arte musical-tecnologica.

KRAFTWERK Florian Schneider, one of the founders, has left.
I remember how it was yesterday the first time we saw them at the Roundhouse in London.
Their music was indefinite (at that time) but of the kind that left fascinated and hypnotized. Their Autobahn (1974) and Trans Europe Express (1976) were legendary, with which you could travel both in reality and with the fantasy. Both by hitchhiking and by train at tehat time you could still travel and find friends with a few lire in your pocket and the borders were open more than today.
Schneider was one of the two singers and a multi-instrumentalist: he played the synthesizer, the vocoder, the flute, the sax and other instruments.
Live, their concert was already then a multimedia show with computers and digital technologies with always refined and beautiful sounds and visual effects. The show, albeit with a sort of retro futurism with anthracite clothes, red shirts and black ties and hair that looked like glitter, transported you into a sort of future-vintage mix
They had already planned to return to Italy to celebrate the 50th anniversary of their musical-technological art.
