Astrid Kirchherr la fotografa dei Beatles se n’è andata. Riceviamo dall’ amico (ed attivissimo presidente dei Beatlesiani d’Italia Ass.) Rolando Giambelli la triste notizia che Astrid Kirchherr la fotografa dei Beatles è mancata all’età di 81 anni. Era nata ad Amburgo nel 1938 e fu nel 1960 che casualmente, girando per i locali notturni di Amburgo con Klaus Voormann, le capitò di ascoltare un gruppo musicale allora sconosciuto. E li fotografò. Il resto è storia. Sua fu l’idea del taglio dei capelli nel 1964 e sue alcune delle più belle fotografie dei Fab Four che hanno contribuito, insieme ad altri, a trasformarle in icone per tutti gli appassionati della loro musica nel mondo. In quegli anni era ad Amburgo anche una delle più famose “icone” del beat italiano, anch’egli però di nazionalità inglese: Shel Shapiro che diventerà famoso con i Rokes. Anche Shel suonava nel 1963 nella Reeperbahn e allo Star Club….
