Passeggiate a Levante… ALTA VIA DEI MONTI LIGURI di Enrico Pelos (2000)

-DESCRIZIONE- Tanto tempo è passato, e dai “cassetti della memoria” riaffiorano lavori che credo possano essere ancora visti senza problemi da chi è interessato al paesaggio dei nostri monti di Liguria. Una proiezione in Power Point risalente ormai al “lontano” 2000 e convertita in video. E’ in bassa risoluzione. Certo, oggi siamo abituati all’HD e ai 4K ma a quel tempo i pc (ibm 486, pentium III… hard disk da 420 MB, 1 Gb..) non permettevano di far girare filmati complessi, per cui le foto erano “elaborate” in modo da non far venire il file troppo grande e di conseguenza molte immagini, effetti e dissolvenze, sono al passo con quanto si poteva fare con i pochi programmi di allora, e fanno ambientare il tutto nell'”atmosfera” di quel tempo. Lungo l’Altavia, o nei suoi pressi, si possono fare tanti incontri interessanti ed anche se alcuni luoghi sono ormai cambiati, come qualche paese che era abbandonato ed oggi è modernamente restaurato (ad es. Colletta di Castelbianco), o l’Abbazia di Tiglieto, altri sono rimasti simili ad allora come il borgo abbandonato di Balestrino, il borgo di Canate, o alcuni forti, e qualcuno saprà riconoscerli lo stesso. E poi lungo l’AV ci sono monti come il Saccarello, il Ramaceto il Toraggio, il Galero, il Beigua, l’Aiona, il Zatta, il Bue, il Maggiorasca, e molti altri, castelli come a Castelvecchio di Rocca Barbena, a Suvero o Calice al Cornovigilio, santuari di Montebruno, della Madonna del Lago, etc…, castelli, i laghi del Gorzente, di Osiglia, di Val Noci di Giacopiane, persone e lavori di antichi artigianati e tanto, molto altro. L’accompagnamento musicale contiene anche spazi di silenzio voluti e tra le altre musiche avevo inserito anche una parte di un brano, per gentile concessione, del gruppo genovese de La Rionda. Il cd/multimediale era stato preparato a seguito dell’uscita della guida ufficiale dell’Alta Via dei Monti Liguri del 1999 a cura dell’Unioncamere di Genova. Buona visione, buona lettura e buon ascolto. -DESCRIPTION- A long time has passed, and from the “drawers of memory” some works come out that I believe can still be seen by those interested in the landscape of our mountains of Liguria. A Power Point projection dating back to the “ancient” 2000 and converted into video. It is in low resolution. Of course, today we are used to HD and 4K but at that time PCs (ibm 486, pentium III … 420 MB hard disk, 1 Gb ..) did not allow any complex movies to run, so the photos were “elaborate” in order to have a lighter file and consequently many images, fading and other effects, are according to what could be done with the few programs of that time, and set the whole in the proper “atmosphere”. Along the AV, or in its vicinity, many interesting encounters can be made and even if some places have now changed, like some country villages that were abandoned and today have been modernly restored (eg Colletta di Castelbianco) or the Tiglieto Abbey, others are still the same as the ancient part of Balestrino, or the Canate village, but someone will recognize them anyway. And then along the AV there are mountains like the Saccarello, the Ramaceto the Toraggio, the Galero, the Beigua and many others, castles like in Castelvecchio di Rocca Barbena, in Suvero or in Calice Del Cornovigilio, sanctuaries, castles, the lakes of Gorzente, of Osiglia, of Val Noci, of Giacopiane, people and works of ancient craftsmanship and much, much more. The backing music also contains small silence parts and among the other music I had also included a part of a piece for kind courtesy of the La Rionda Genoese group. The multimedia/Ccd had been prepared following the release of the official guide of the Alta Via dei Monti Liguri in 1999 by the Unioncamere of Genoa. Have a nice vision, a good reading and a good listening.

… cantando e suonando una famosa canzone con foto e filmato da una delle più famose città fantasma nel mondo… Balestrino…
… Rita ed Enrico ritornano nel luogo che li ha visti camminare, esplorare, fare delle foto, (alcune delle quali nel filmato risalenti agli anni ’80) tanti anni fa insieme per le strade del borgo abbandonato …

Questa canzone (scritta nel 2012) … narra…. di Shel che a Balestrino ha trovato le sue “stelle”, e che molti anni fa cantava con i Rokes, su questa musica di Bob Lind (titolo originale “Cheryl’s going home”, 1966), la famosa canzone “Ma che colpa abbiamo noi” scritta da Mogol (Giulio Rapetti) e che diventerà, per un certo periodo, il “manifesto” hippie (in Italia) degli anni ’66-’67 (titolo al quale si ispirerà anche un film di Carlo Verdone).
Uno degli spettacoli di Shel si ispira alla Beat Generation americana ed è arricchito qua e la da esibizioni musicali. Shel Shapiro è Direttore Artistico della Rassegna “Stars A Balestrino”, affascinante Borgo della Riviera Ligure di ponente che gli autori (Rita ed Enrico) avevano già frequentato e percorso nelle sue antiche vie molti decenni prima. Essi colpiti dalla coincidenza che Shel organizzasse questi spettacoli proprio a Balestrino, scrissero spontaneamente questo testo… ricordando quando erano fan dei Rokes a metà degli anni ’60…

Un omaggio simpatico, ed affettuosamente spiritoso, ai Rokes ed in particolare a Shel ed a quello che hanno rappresentato per le generazioni dell’epoca; e dedicata a Balestrino ed ai suoi abitanti.

… Rita and Enrico returning to the place that saw them walk, explore and take pictures, (some of them in the movie are from the ’80s) many years ago along the streets of the abandoned village …

This song (written in 2012) is about Shel finding his “stars” in Balestrino and who sang with Rokes many years ago on the music of “Cheryl’s going home” (1966) by Bob Lind, the famous song “Ma che colpa abbiamo noi” written by Mogol (Giulio Rapetti) and was, for a time, the hippie “manifesto” (in Italy) in ’66 -’67.
In one of the shows Shel is inspired by the American Beat Generation and he enriched the show with some musical performances. Shell Shapiro is the Artistic Director of the “Stars in Balestrino,” Festival a charming village on the Western Riviera which authors (Rita and Enrico) had already visited and walked along its ancient streets decades ago. They where strucked by the coincidence that Shel would organize these shows just at Balestrino, and they spontaneously wrote this text … remembering when they were fans of the Rokes in the mid 60’s …

A nice and affectionately witty tribute, to the Rokes and to Shel in particular and to what represented for the generations of those times; and dedicated to Balestrino and its inhabitants.

LA BATTAGLIA DI LOANO – RIEVOCAZIONE STORICA 1998

Nel settembre 1998 giunsero a Loano i più rappresentativi gruppi europei di re-enactment (rievocazione storica) per l’appuntamento della famosa battaglia.
Dopo aver girato per le vie del centro con accampamenti e situazioni diverse che rievocavano la vita dei soldati dell’epoca come accampamenti, turni di guardia e altro sono salito sulle alture tra Balestrino, Toirano e Loano, appena sopra Castelvecchio di Rocca Barbena e poco distante dal Santuario per assistere all’imponente rievocazione preparata da molti gruppi in costume provenienti da diverse regioni italiane, da paesi esteri e da abitanti delle zone circostanti. I gruppi dall’estero da Francia, Germania, Olanda, Inghilterra, Malta, Repubblica
Ceca, Austria, Slovacchia.

La battaglia di Loano venne combattuta il 23 e 24 novembre 1795. L’esercito francese, comandato dal generale Andrea Massena composto da 40.000 uomini, sconfisse l’Austria, con 30.000 soldati e il Regno di Sardegna con 12.000 alleati.

Il campo di battaglia era molto esteso e andava da Boissano, Borghetto Santo Spirito, Zuccarello, Bardineto, dove gli austriaci opposero una strenua resistenza. La battaglia durò 5 giorni dando ai francesi un importante base che sarà utilizzata nell’aprile 1796, durante la battaglia di Montenotte, dal generale Napoleone Bonaparte e il generale Massena divenne l'”Eroe di Loano”.

In September 1998, they came to Loano the most representative European re-enactment groups for the appointment of the famous battle.
After touring the streets of downtown camps with different situations and situations of the soldiers who recalled the era, such as camps, guard duty and other I went up to the hills among Balestrino, Toirano, Loano, just above Castelvecchio di Rocca Barbena and not far from the sanctuary to witness the impressive re-enactment prepared by many groups in costume from different Italian regions, from foreign countries and from local residents. The groups from abroad where France, Germany, Holland, England, Malta,
Czech, Austria, Slovakia.

The Battle of Loano was fought on 23 and 24 November 1795. The French army, commanded by General Andrea Massena composed of 40,000 men, defeated Austria, with 30,000 soldiers and the Kingdom of Sardinia with 12,000.

The battlefield was very extensive and ranged from Boissano, Borghetto Santo Spirito, Zuccarello, Bardineto, where the Austrians put up a fierce resistance. The battle lasted five days, giving the French an important base that will be used in April, 1796, during the Battle of Montenotte, by General Napoleon Bonaparte and the General Massena became the “Hero of Loano”.

BALESTRINO Paese abbandonato (Ghost town and Inkheart movie set)

Balestrino è un borgo dell’entroterra savonese famoso perchè a sua parte antica fu abbandonata dagli abitanti, nel 1953, a seguito dell’imminente pericolo dei un grave evento franoso. La parte vecchia è diventata così una delle “ghost town” più interessanti d’Europa, anche perchè è sovrastata dall’imponente mole del suo castello (privato) dei Marchesi di Balestrino e, per un certo periodo, anche quartier generale di colui che sarebbe poi diventato Napoleone.
In genere, nei paesi liguri, sono i castelli che sono abbandonati ed il resto del villaggio si è rinnovato invece a Baletrino accade il contrario…
Io l’ho visitato gia’ molti anni fa quando ancora si poteva entrare e girare per le sue stradine antiche… abitante un tempo da circa 400 abitanti…

Balestrino is a village in the hinterland of Savona famous because the old part of the town was abandoned by its inhabitants in 1953, following the imminent danger of a serious landslide. The old part has become so one of the “ghost town” most interesting in Europe, also because it is dominated by the imposing its castle (private) of the Marquis of Balestrino and, for a time, also the headquarters of the man who would later became Napoleon.
In general, in the Ligurian villages, are the castles that have been abandoned and the rest of the village has been renewed instead Baletrino the opposite happens …
I started to visit Balestrino many years ago when it was still possible to enter and going around the ancient streets … and there was a time were about 400 people where living and working here…
