Luoghi Abbandonati – PORTOFINO VALLE DEI MULINI

Un “must” per tutti gli amanti del Parco di Portofino*, non solo delle sue bellezze naturali e paesaggistiche ma anche storiche.
Si parte da Portofino Vetta, si arriva a Pietre Strette e dopo un amena e tranquilla discesa in mezzo al bosco si arriva al primo Mulino del Gassetta che fu l’ultimo a chiudere nel secolo scorso. Restaurato in tempi recenti è oggi un bel punto di ristoro con museo.
Scendendo da questo sentiero si potevano contare, un tempo, ben trentacinque mulini di vario tipo, ed alcune fonti narrano che in un certo periodo fossero anche 50. Comunque sia, molti sono stati restaurati e sono oggi abitazioni private. Altri sono ormai ridotti a ruderi e sono, in alcuni casi, immersi e nascosti tra i rami ed i cespugli di quella che potrebbe sembrare a tutti gli effetti una rigogliosa e fitta foresta tropicale. Alla fine della discesa si arriva sul piazzale che ricopre quello che era un tempo il porticciolo di Paraggi e alla sua bella spiaggia.
Lungo il sentiero una piccola lapide ricorda come la bellezza di Portofino sorrise per l’ultima volta al famoso pittore Giuseppe Amisani che proprio su questa passeggiata dipinse uno degli ultimi paesaggi.

A “must” for all lovers of Portofino* Park not only for its natural beauty but also for the historical side.
The hike starts from Portofino Vetta, you get to Pietre Strette and after a pleasant and peaceful descent through the woods you arrive at the Gassetta Mill who was the last to close in the last century. Restored in recent times has become a nice resting spot with museum.
Going down this path could be counted once, thirty-five mills of various types, and sources tell us that at one point they were also 50. Many have been restored and are now private homes. Others are now reduced to ruins and are, in some cases, dipped and hidden in the branches and bushes of what might seem to all effects a tropical forest. At the end of the descent you arrive in the square that covered what was once the Paraggi harbour and its beautiful beach.

Luoghi Abbandonati SILOS HENNEBIQUE GENOVA

Il silos Hennebique era un deposito granario. Esso fu costruito sul finire dell’800. Inaugurato nel 1901 porta il nome dell’imprenditore che sviluppò l’invenzione del cemento armato. La costruzione fu una delle prime al mondo, costruite con questa tecnica, di queste dimensioni, è infatti lungo oltre duecento metri.
Quando era in funzione caricava il grano dalle navi che, tramite un pontile, veniva immagazzinato nei locali.
Interessato da molte ipotesi di progetto, da albergo a facoltà universitaria a contenitore culturale a museo della storia italiana a terminal crocieristico, è però vincolato da una serie di obblighi di rispetto stilistico e costruttivo non semplici da rispettare nell’ottica di una ristrutturazione completa. Ne consegue che… é abbandonato ormai dagli anni ’70. Quasi mezzo secolo.

The silos Hennebique was a granary deposit. It was built in the late 800. It opened in 1901 bearing the name of the entrepreneur who developed the invention of reinforced concrete. It was one of the first in the world, built with this technique, of this size, it is in fact more than two hundred meters long.
When it was running it loaded grain from ships, through a wharf, to be stored on the premises.
Many projects have been studied for the reuse of the bulding: from hotel to university faculty, the Italian history museum, a cruise terminal. However, it has a large number of stylistic and constructive obligations to be respected and therefore … it is abandoned from the 70s. Almost half a century.

Luoghi (Ex) abbandonati RAFFINERIE ERG DELLA VAL POLCEVERA Archeologia Industriale

Un pezzo di storia antica della Genova industriale della Val Polcevera. Oggi non esistono più ma ci fu un tempo che potevi camminare sui prati degli argini del fiume omonimo insieme alle pecore e avevi davanti le grandi torri della raffineria ERG. Facevano parte del paesaggio con lo sfondo del Santuario della Madonna della Guardia.
Perchè non esistono più? Perchè dagli anni ’90 è cominciata l’esigenza di una maggior attenzione all’aspetto ambientale e alla qualità della vita delle persone che vivevano in queste aree. Tutta la zona è stata quindi convertita in insediamenti a prevalenza commerciale, residenziale e di distribuzione logistica.

L’aria è oggi più pulita? É migliorata la qualità della vita? Qualcuno della zona può rispondere direttamente…
In questa terra è coltivato il vitigno dal quale si produce il vino Bianchetta ottimo con le acciughe, la torta pasqualina. Ma più ancora con lo stoccafisso con le favette (i bacilli) piatto molto conosciuto grazie alla canzone dei Trilli, il famoso gruppo folk musicale ligure:
“T’ho dïto che t’a prepari/o stocchefisce e bacilli/a gongorzola co-i grilli/e ûn bottigion de vin bon e invece ti m’æ preparou/a menestrinn-a co-e êuve/a fà ciû fïto scì a chêuxe/ma o l’è ûn mangiâ do belin”
(Ti ho detto di preparare/lo stoccafisso con i bacilli/la gorgonzola con i grilli/e un bottiglione di vino buono e invece tu mi hai preparato/la minestrina con le uova/si cuoce più in fretta/ma è un mangiare che non va bene)

 

A piece of ancient history of Genoa refinery plants from the industrial era in the Polcevera valley. Today they are no more here but there was a time that you could walk along the Polcevera river of the together with the sheep and looking at the great towers of the ERG refinery. They were part of the landscape with the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Guardia in the background.
Why they are no more there? Because in the 90s began the need for a better environment and quality of life for people living there and the whole area had a complete new restyiling mainly as a commercial area. Is the air  cleaner today? Is the quality of life imporved? Someone in the area can reply directly …
