ALBENGA ALASSIO Tramonto…sera… con nuvole…

Una scelta di 45 itinerari, (corredati di 283 Fotografie e 45 Cartine) tra i molti che ho percorso nella Liguria  e che vanno dalle semplici passeggiate a escursioni più impegnative, per tutte le stagioni. Molti sono percorsi conosciuti e famosi ma sempre belli da scoprire: Golfo Paradiso, Portofino, Antola, Val d’Aveto, Baia delle Favole, Cinque Terre, Golfo dei Poeti etc. nomi evocativi che meritano di essere conosciuti ed esplorati ma senza fretta, tra il verde dei boschi e l’azzurro del mare e dei laghi e il libro conduce in un viaggio a passo d’uomo alla scoperta del territorio, della natura e del paesaggio.
Altri possono essere una scoperta come la cava della Valle Lagorara o l’intero complesso delle fortificazioni di Genova o l’itinerario particolare nel Cimitero Monumentale di Staglieno.
Il libro, corredato da molte fotografie, cartine, note tecniche, è pensato per chi vuole andare alla scoperta di un paesaggio di particolare bellezza tra mare e monti, itinerari tra rinomate spiagge o su promontori che offrono squarci su scogliere o che si inoltrano nell’entroterra in zone rurali e montane attraversate da vie del sale e antiche mulattiere. Box di approfondimento si soffermano su aspetti storici, naturalistici e artistici senza dimenticare il folklore e le tradizioni gastronomiche.

45 itineraries (with 283 photos and 47 maps) among the many I have done in Eastern Liguria which varies from easily walking paths to more demanding hiking and trekkings. The book is fully illustrated with photos and enriched with reference maps and it is thought either for the tourist and the excursion traveller and trekker who wants to discover a landscape of beauty. The book accompanies the reader/walker not only to renowed beaches landscapes like 5 Terre but also to inland mount paths like in Antola, Aveto, Trebbia valleys, etc. or particular sites like Jasper Lagorara Valley, the Genoa ancient fortresses or the Staglieno Monumental Cemetery.

Dalla Lanterna si puo’ vedere gran parte della citta’ con il suo porto, i suoi traffici, le navi i monti e i forti, qui’
sono visibili insieme il Forte Begato, lo Sperone, il Forte Puin, il Diamante, Il Forte Ratti e la torre di Quezzi.

From the Lantern you can see much of the city with its port, its trade, ships and the mountains with the forts,
here are visible altogether the Begato, Sperone, Puin, Diamond Ratti Fortresses and the Quezzi tower.

Il Cimitero Monumentale di Staglieno, uno dei piu’ importanti del mondo, fu aperto nel 1851.
Costruito su progetti dei grandi architetti Barabino e Resasco ha al suo interno persone famose
di Genova come il patriota Giuseppe mazzini, il garibaldino Nino Bixio, il comico Gilberto Govi,
il cantautore Fabrizio De Andre’, il poeta Edoardo Sanguineti

The Monumental Cemetery of Staglieno, one of the most important in the world, opened in 1851.
Built on projects of great architects Barabino and Resasco has inside famous people
of Genoa as the patriot Giuseppe Mazzini, Nino Bixio of the Garibaldi expedition, the comedian Gilberto Govi,
the singer-songwriter Fabrizio De Andre’, the poet Edoardo Sanguineti

L’antichissima  cattedrale di San Lorenzo che risale al 1100,  il grattacielo della Torre Piacentini di piazza Dante
(è stato il primo grattacielo italiano, del 1935, ed è ancora oggi il più alto abitato d’Italia)
con l’ascensore panoramico del Bigo, l’antica gru portuale.
